MILL TOWER
Ally's particularity lies in having mainly counted windmills, in the th century, against seven water mills. Particularity explained by a very venté country, crossed by low-flow streams. Many wind turbines have been established on Ally's shelf. Windmills are cylindrical towers, built in stone with a few rubble of quartz. Unlike wooden mills, the whole body rotates, only the conical roof rotates on a circular tread path. We rotate this roof with a tail, a long piece of wood set on a frame of the frame, to place wings in the wind axis… or divert them, when you wanted to stop the mill. These windmills are similar to those found mainly in southern France: Provence, Lauragais, Quercy, Aquitaine… In the mill of Pargeat, the wooden mechanism dating back to 1817, in perfect condition, is impressive. The mill tower allows you to discover the panoramic mill, the word mill and the mill of Pargeat.
