COCK-OF-ROCK TRAIL
This trail was inaugurated by the ONF in 2014. A sign hidden behind the foliage indicates the entrance to a narrow path that follows the course of a stream before emptying into a cave, a nesting area for the species known as "coq-de-roche". After less than 30 minutes' walk, you'll reach the observatory site: from March to April, these magnificent birds, with their bright orange plumage (for the males) topped by a rounded crest, seek to mate with the discreet, brown-plumaged females. Don't forget your binoculars... and be quiet!
