ST. ROCH'S CHAPEL
Go there and contact
Exiting from Bath towards Saugues near Montbonnet, Saint Roch Chapel was built thanks to the family of Montlaur. This chapel was restored in the th century. The interior retains the statues of Saint Bonnet (who gave his name to the hamlet, Sainte-Adapter - who illustrated himself in Brioude during the Norman invasions) and naturally Saint Roch, who would have gone back to the return of a pilgrimage he had done to Rome. Originally from Montpellier, he would have contracted the plague during his pilgrimage to the holy city. A refugee in a cave, he was cured by an angel while a dog brought a piece of bread every day to feed him. Back in Montpellier, Saint Roch was thrown in prison where he died.
