A few trains still leave from the beautiful and old station of the capital. Check your ticket before you go. Tickets can be reserved at ticket offices. The building, built in 1910 in the purest Anglo-Indian style, is listed as a Malaysian Historic Monument. Construction was delayed because the roof did not meet British Railways specifications: it could not support the weight of one metre of snow!
