FRIM will delight all nature lovers. This research centre for forest regeneration allows visitors to discover part of the country's diverse vegetation. It is also possible to walk on the trails that line the park and take the Canopy Walkway that flirts with the treetops. A good introduction to the equatorial forest or an alternative if you don't have the opportunity to visit a national park.

Not far from the Batu caves, the FRIM is a LRT then taxi from Kuala Lumpur. Here is a pleasant site for a first glimpse of the jungle of Malaysia. You walk in the heart of more than 30 feet high and more impressive ferns all than the others. There are hiking trails, very welcoming, and even some pool make a quick dip in the buildings. The buildings of welcome do not bring much to visit, if it is not a map, not to be lost... Beautiful walk to leave the mass of KL.
Outside Kuala Lumpur, this centre offers many hiking possibilities, some trails are more difficult than others. Remember to take along good shoes hiking, water and repellent! Ask for a map of the entrance to the guards because this centre is very large and you go there by car (which is a shame).
