Samdas Bakthani opened this store in 1982. After starting out with inexpensive clothes, he turned to importing and exporting prestigious batiks, an Indonesian technique for printing fabrics with wax, which allows areas of decoration to be reserved that are not impregnated when passing through the various color baths. He also offers silks, linens and fine collections of Indian blockprints, cotton fabrics in which patterns are reproduced by hand using wooden blocks.
