THE STABLE
For the flashpackers among you, here's an address with plenty of character. In the heart of Chinatown, this is where horses used to be stabled back in the days when the car was still just a wacky inventor's sweet dream. Thanks to the investment of two local designers, this former stable with its rough, exposed bricks has been recycled into a guesthouse. There's only one room, so you rent the whole wall! You'll find the Peranakan touch here, but also a modern, chic atmosphere that's perfectly assumed. A real success of its kind.
