Kuala Terengganu's Chinatown is authentic, with its beautifully decorated facades and pagoda roofs. It's especially lively in the evenings, when locals take to the streets to eat fried noodles from street vendors. Here you'll find the Ho Ann Kiong Chinese temple, the city's oldest. Built in 1801 and ravaged by fire in 2010, it has risen from the ashes thanks to the generosity of the local Chinese community. The street art dotting the walls of the district is a joy to behold.
