This monumental hotel, with its slightly austere appearance, is located just a stone's throw from the historic center of Kuching and is the traditional address for businessmen visiting the region. It boasts 208 classically comfortable rooms, plus the inevitable swimming pool, gym, business center, bar and restaurant serving honest-to-goodness cuisine. And let's not forget the copious buffet, open in the afternoons exclusively for senior executives and luxury tourists. We've seen hotels with more cachet, but this one does the job.
