BLUE GINGER
The perfect place to try the original flavors of Peranakan cuisine, housed in a superb early shophouse.
Blue Ginger is the ideal address to rub shoulders with two gourmet myths of this part of Asia: the cendol and the durian. This typical Southeast Asian dessert is made with crushed ice, coconut milk and palm sugar and here flavored with durian puree. In this pretty shophouse of Tanjong Pagar, the elements of the beginning of the 20th century have been preserved. And as there is not only cendol in life, one can also enjoy Peranakan specialties, from the community of Chinese descendants settled in Southeast Asia at the end of the 19th century.
