GOODWOOD PARK HOTEL
Located on Scotts Road, a stone's throw from Orchard, Goodwood Park Hotel was first a German club, the Teutonia Club, in 1900, before being transformed into a hotel in 1929. This Rhenish-style castle, planted in a tropical garden, seems somewhat incongruous, but that's also what makes it so charming. The Brunei suite was the most expensive in Singapore before the opening of the Raffles. The comfortable and spacious rooms have a classic decoration. All the hotel's restaurants, including the Gordon Grill, are exceptional and the service is English.
