Located close to Leong San See Temple and just opposite Sakya Muni Buddha Gaya Temple, Hock Siew Tong Temple could pass for a pretty two-storey house. There's nothing extraordinary about it, apart from the lovely old tiles on the floor. This Buddhist temple is dedicated to Guanyin, the goddess of compassion. It's well worth a stop, but you'll soon get the hang of it. Take a look at the outside panels, which relate 6 of the 24 examples of filial piety, otherwise known as the 24 paragons, used to teach Confucian values.
