Built in 1881, the temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali, wife of Shiva. Veeramakaliamman means "brave Kali". She is represented with five pairs of arms and legs. She holds weapons in her multiple hands, including a trident and freshly cut men's heads. She tramples on a corpse and wears a skull necklace around her neck. With such attributes, she is as feared as she is revered. Kali is represented surrounded by her sons Ganesh and Murugan.

Magnifique temple hindou situé dans little india.
