Located next to the Guan Yin Temple, the Sri Krishnan Temple, dedicated to Krishna, the ninth reincarnation of Vishnu, was built in the 1870s when a large number of Indians settled around Waterloo Street. It is the only temple dedicated to the mischievous god in Singapore. The decoration of the gopuram, with statues of the gods housed in niches, is worth a look. This is one of the few Hindu temples where you will see Chinese people who, after praying at the GuanYin temple, also come to dedicate their prayers to Krishna.
