The Marina Barrage is a water reservoir that controls the risk of flooding in the lower areas of the city. During heavy rains, the dam gates release excess rainwater into the sea. A green roof covers the main building. It allows the interior temperature to be regulated naturally. You have to go there on weekends when kite enthusiasts come to the area. You'll see hundreds of them. Ideal for a picnic that extends until sunset.
