This is a lovely curiosity in Singapore. Old Chinese teach their birds to sing (inducing a bird to sing prolongs life) and then organizes competitions between the same species. Hundreds of singers in their suspended bamboo cage go from their trills and roucoulades, under the curious eye and connaisseur of their owners.
