REFLECTIONS AT BUKIT CHANDU
On the opium hill, Bukit Chandu is a beautiful colonial house renovated and transformed into a small museum on the battle of Pasir Panjang on 14 February 1942. The Malay regiment fought relentlessly but unsuccessfully against 13 000 Japanese soldiers. This is the last battle before the fall of Singapore on 15 February 1942. On the ground floor, a little film recounts the events that led to the Japanese occupation. On the floor, ask that you open the doors of the small piece in which you will see the screening of a little film on the battle of Pasir Panjang, entitled Sounds of Battle. Through sounds, the visitor is placed in the situation of a soldier. Saisissant.
