Located in a former 4 000 th-century warehouse in Robertson Quay's district, STPI is a huge space of over 2 m on several levels devoted to the various forms of paper printing: ., engraving, printing or printing. Both gallery and workshop, the Singapore Tyler Print institute (STPI) was created in 2002 on the initiative of the American Master Printer Kenneth E. Tyler. Recognized artists or young talent from Asia but also from the United States and Europe are regularly invited to stay and to learn about the various printing and manufacturing techniques. The material is designed on site according to each project. A team of specialists accompany them throughout their research and experimentation. Each stay is followed by a presentation of the works in the gallery.
