Opening hours Singapore City
To see / To do Singapore City
Activity starts early in the morning, with children sometimes starting school at 7am. Night falls quickly in Singapore, but temperatures don't drop, so there's plenty to do in the evenings.
Most museums open between 9:30 and 10 a.m. every day for the larger ones, with nocturne on Fridays until 9 p.m. for the national museums. Smaller museums open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and close on Mondays, while temples offer variable opening times depending on the office. Amusement parks, such as Universal Studios in Sentosa, also open at 10 a.m. and close between 7 and 9 p.m., depending on the events on offer, every day. The zoo and parks open earlier, at 8:30 or even 7:30 a.m., as the heat can sometimes be difficult to bear. In terms of crowds, the sites are not overcrowded - there are a lot of them, so it helps to spread them out. When the weather's fine, Singaporeans like to treat their families to a little getaway to Sentosa, so the theme parks are inevitably a little busier at weekends, but nothing to worry about.
Enjoying yourself Singapore City
Singapore enjoys a year-round summer climate, so restaurant opening times don't vary with the seasons. On average, they open from 11am to 3pm for lunch and from 7pm to 11pm for dinner. Be prepared to wait for an available table at night-time food courts such as Gluttons Bay or Law Pa Sat, which are very popular with Singaporeans.
For lovers of fine dining, certain restaurants such as Odette (www.odetterestaurant.com) or Tippling Club (www.tipplingclub.com) require reservations, sometimes weeks in advance! Make sure you don't decide on a whim to dine there.
Take a break Singapore City
The hours are quite variable for the bars, the unavoidable ones, considered almost as a tourist attraction, like the Long Bar of the Raffles, open from 12pm to 10:30pm approximately. The other classic bars open around 6pm until 2am, every day. Expect a lot of traffic from 6pm to 9pm, as the locals enjoy the afterwork and happy hour.
The cozy cafés, tea rooms and gourmet shops are open from 8am to 6pm in general, the co-working cafés close later, they are open every day.

Shops open daily from 10am to 9pm, and shopping malls generally close at 10pm. A must for any self-respecting Singaporean is the gigantic Mustafa Center, in the heart of Little India, which is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day!
Most 7 Eleven convenience stores are also open 24 hours a day. Pharmacies are open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., except in shopping malls, but they don't dispense medicines - the doctor does.
Singaporeans love shopping malls, and Orchard Road alone has around 25 of them, which can quickly become overcrowded at Christmas or during sales periods. Avoid this if it's not your hobby, especially as you'll find many of the same brands as in the rest of the world.

Singapore's nightlife is expanding year on year. Nightclubs are generally open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10pm to 3am (later for afterhours). When it comes to activities with friends (cinema, billiards, bowling, go-karting, escape games, etc.), opening hours vary widely depending on the type of establishment. Since casinos were authorized on the island in 2005, Singaporeans have been having a field day. The Marina Bay Sands casino is open 24 hours a day!
