Firmly entrenched in the heart of Chinatown since 1946, this is one of Port Louis' last great popular restaurants, run by the Lai Min family since its origins, in other words, an institution. It's Asian, which means it's huge, and not even remotely romantic. No matter! The large dining room often pulsates with a cheerful hubbub, the local Chinese are there and every dish on the endless menu is prepared with care. For an immersion in local life, come on a Saturday, the night of the dinner dances - live band from 7pm and special menu.

The food was ok nothing great about the taste. Good quality and choice for a set menu though.

Food was good. But thought it would have been better seeing the reviews. The service was good. There is music and dancing on Saturday. I also think that the set menu would have been more value for money than a la carte.
