Excellent Italian dishes. Speedy service. Cocktails also quite amazing. Maybe some live music at night would be perfect.

Utterly forgettable and disappointing. Sure, when you arrive there and experience the beautiful view over the harbour, the place seems promising enough.
Disappointment begins with the service: in spite of adequate staff numbers, the waiters always appear in a rush and not entirely focused on their work. There is barely any smile or greeting and they are not attentive to patrons, it is very difficult to get their attention.
I went there because L'Artista advertised a special offer for pizzas which appeared promising. It all fell flat when my pizza arrived and had no balsamic vinegar whatsoever - even though the advertised pictures of "Balsamic Mushroom and Goat Cheese Pizza" clearly showed balsamic vinegar to be drizzled atop the pizza slices. Such was my disbelief that I had to ask the waiters if they had not perhaps mixed up my order.
The cooks were way too liberal with their use of goat cheese, making the pizza very liquid and near impossible to eat. Only the crust felt crispy, while the base and everything else felt soggy.
For the price paid, definitely not worth going back.

We went for cocktail only. Delicious. It was buy one get one free occasion. We had to go to click these pictured from the top of caudan. Beautiful place. I will come for dinner.

Great food even if it is on the pricy side but the staff is kinda of rude and not very welcoming also the gnocchi was not great

It’s better to reserve to have the best seats, then you can have a really good view on the port and caudan ????????

I like to eat here either with friends or family when I am in Caudan, Port Louis. I always ask for the catch of the day. Staff is friendly and the port view is just great.

We had the lamb arancini, antipasti platter and a margherita pizza for dinner.
The arancini and antipasti platter were amazing starters and the platter can easily be shared across 4 people (we were only 2 so it took some time to finish it). The platter is pricey BUT totally worth it! The pizza also tasted great and the dough was crispy.
Despite some negative comments about service and quality of food, our servers were awesome and had great humour and we overall had a great time. I will try to go for lunch and see if this carries forward but until then 10/10 recommended.

A thank you to one waiter who accomodated us without prior resersation though it was packed. He went above and beyond for us all throughout our dinner and always smiling. The place could make use of a music background though cause it gets very noisy. Most important ...great food!!!

A great place for lunch with a magnificent setting overlooking the sea. Very good food and good service. It is best to reserve because otherwise it may be difficult to get a place

We had lunch at l'artista in December. Even though the food was good, the service was a letdown . We had to call the waiter 3 times to take our order. Waiters were non chalant even though the restaurant was almost full on that day. They would really benefit from some training to enhance their level of customer service

I liked the food but it was a tad bit salty. Not sure if it was a combination of the parmesan and pancetta otherwise it was a positive experience altogether. The food, for the most part, seemed authentic minus the pasta which seems to be store bought. The ice tea was good.
One thing that annoyed me a little is that one waiter told me that there were no seats available and didn't even put me down on the waiting list so I had to wait for another waiter to ask to be placed on a waiting list. I didn't get notified after a seat was available and found out Charisse my friend went in to confirm, so faster communication when seats are available would be fantastic, otherwise, everything was good.

We had a lunch booking on 23/12 at 12:30pm and were looking forward to dining at this restaurant. Sachin, a staff at reception showed no acknowledgment upon our arrival, merely waving his hand to guide us to our table. Throughout the meal, there was no eye contact or engagement. Strangely, he acted as if he were the manager, displaying unprofessional behaviour by shouting at a waiter in front of customers.
The chicken and mushroom pizza we ordered were extremely dry, and the mushrooms were oddly chewy. The four seasons pizza was too salty. The only thing that we enjoyed were the cocktails and juice.
At some point, a persistent and painfully loud smoke detector alarm went off for at least 5 minutes, adding to the overall unpleasant dining experience.
When he presented the bill, Sachin dropped it on the table without saying a word.
We wanted to speak to the manager but he was away so we communicated our dissatisfaction to Sachin, expressing our concerns about the overall experience. He failed to offer any apology for the subpar service or address the issues raised.
We have no intention of returning to this establishment.

Great food. Cosy place.
The freshly made pasta is incredible, the risotto is so creamy and delicious.
Seafood dishes are cooked to perfection and really tasty.

The place is cozy, the service is good, food does not take too long but the food is just ok, you can definitely get better for that price. The deserts are overpriced though.
But the worst the employees were so rude
