Victoria Beachcomber in Mauritius is an exceptional resort that truly stands out for its stunning location and excellent service. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly, making us feel right at home.

Our accommodations were spacious and thoughtfully designed, many featuring breathtaking ocean views. The resort boasts a large pool, a beautiful beach, and exciting water sports like snorkeling, paddleboarding, and kayaking. The crystal-clear waters are perfect for exploring vibrant marine life, including colorful fish and coral reefs.

Dining was a highlight of our stay, with several restaurants offering a diverse range of cuisine, from local dishes to international favorites. The breakfast buffet was particularly impressive, showcasing a wide selection of fresh fruits, pastries, and hot dishes. In the evenings, live music and cultural performances provided fantastic entertainment for our family.

For relaxation and leisure, the resort features multiple bars where you can enjoy refreshing cocktails and local beverages. There are also indoor activities like table tennis and pool, perfect for some friendly competition.

Special mentions go to Roy, who kept our room immaculate, and Yogan (apologies if spelled incorrectly), whose kindness and attentiveness enhanced our dining experience.

Victoria Beachcomber caters to both families and couples, ensuring that everyone has a memorable time. Overall, it’s a wonderful destination that combines relaxation, adventure, and outstanding hospitality—a place we would all love to visit again.

My Incredible Week at Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa

My recent week at Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa was nothing short of spectacular. The resort offered an exceptional dining experience with a variety of cuisine options that catered to every palate. Each meal was a delightful journey, showcasing exquisite flavors and creative presentations. The array of exciting activities available ensured there was never a dull moment, appealing to all interests from relaxation to adventure. What truly stood out was the impressive professionalism and friendliness of the staff, particularly Vinesh and Yashin, whose attentive service made my holiday even more special. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a memorable vacation experience, and I certainly plan to return in the future.

Nous sommes allés avec mon mari il y à deux semaines et nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une des chambres nouvellement renouvelées, très propre et la chambre était fait matins et soirs!
Le service était super, les repas délicieux, gros coup de cœur au Morris Beef.

Sehr schönes Hotel an eine weißen Traumstand gelegenen. Zimmer bzw. Einrichtung sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Trotzdem eine klare Empfehlung.

We stayed for 4 nights at the Victoria Beachcomber. The only good thing about this place is the location being close to Port Louis and Grand Baei.

Extremely poor service provided, arrived to check in after a long flight and find a maintenance man in the assigned room repairing the AC. Water all over the floor.

We were given another room the next day however, the room stunk of damp and mould. Generally rooms are outdated. AC system is extremely loud even on low. Cleanliness is not on the top of their agenda as the rooms weren't clean.

Breakfast is poor, with limited options. No service by the waiter staff. Don't seem that bothered.

Beach and pool is OK. Lots of stray dogs wandering around and people feeding them.

No water provided in rooms and lizards everywhere.

We stayed a further 3 days on the east coast at Constance Belle Mare and wow the difference was night and day. If you want a relaxing escape don't stay at Victoria.

Nous avions choisi Beachcomber pour notre séjour de lune de miel et avons partagé notre séjour entre le Mauricia Grand Baie et le Victoria. L'expérience a été totalement différente dans les 2 hôtels.

L'accueil au Mauricia a été incroyable. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par Dharma qui s'est soucié de nous tout au long de nos 5 premiers jours. Merci à lui, Anaïs et toute l'équipe pour leur gentillesse et leur bienveillance. Nous avons reçu plusieurs présents pour notre lune de miel (une bouteille, une séance photos, les repas du midi (hors boissons) alors que nous étions en demi-pension et un bon de réduction pour les massages que nous n'avons malheureusement pas eu le temps d'utiliser) et surtout nous avons reçu une superbe chambre de la catégorie supérieure par rapport à celle que nous avions réservée ce qui nous a enchantés.
L'accueil au Victoria a été totalement différent à savoir long et très impersonnel. Aucun petit cadeau ne nous a été fait hormis les repas du midi (hors boissons également) alors que nous y avons résidé plus longtemps (5 nuits). Dès les premiers instants, nous avons regretté le Mauricia.

Concernant la chambre, bien que plus chère la chambre Deluxe à l'étage supérieur n'arrivait pas à la cheville de la chambre Beachfront supérieure du Mauricia. La chambre au Victoria bien que plus grande était extrêmement sombre et la mer très loin alors qu'au Mauricia la chambre était très lumineuse avec une vue directe sur la baie et ses eaux turquoises. Petit détail qui à son importance mais la chambre au Mauricia offrait un parapluie alors que lorsque nous en avons eu besoin au Victoria du fait des pluies très importantes, on nous a répondu qu'il n'y en avait plus. Avec un bébé, nous étions donc très embêtés pour sortir. Hormis cela, les équipements sont équivalents dans les 2 hôtels (bonne literie, lit bébé, TV, douche + baignoire, sèche-cheveux, coffre-fort, produits de toilettes et café à disposition).
Aucun souci côté Mauricia pendant notre séjour en revanche la climatisation s'est bouchée au Victoria provoquant une fuite dans la chambre et un ploc ploc d'eau qui coulait du plafond insupportable et qui nous empêchait de dormir. On nous a donné une autre chambre (magnifique) à 3h du matin pour terminer la nuit avec notre bébé qui était totalement déboussolée mais on ne nous a pas laissés en profiter pour notre dernière nuit ce qui aurait été apprécié du fait de la nuit épouvantable que nous avions passé la veille d'autant plus qu'en regagnant la chambre une énorme blatte m'est tombée dessus, est partie sous le lit et nous ne l'avons jamais revue... Un geste à quand même été fait sur notre facture finale suite à cette déconvenue et les boissons nous ont été offerte soit un peu plus d'une centaine d'euros. Pour une chambre à plus de 300€, c'était vraiment très très limite. Pour couronner le tout, on nous a téléphoné à plus de 22h30 dans la chambre pour nous annoncer qu'un geste serait fait sur notre facture ce qui a réveillé tout le monde !!! Bref le service est catastrophique et est bien loin de ce que l'on peut attendre d'un 4 étoiles.

Pour l'hôtel en général et les parties communes, les 2 hôtels sont jolis mais nous avons préféré les piscines du Mauricia et sa zone de restauration surtout qu'il y a un sifflement permanent très désagréable au Victoria. C'est très subjectif mais nous avons également préféré la nourriture du Mauricia. Le petit déjeuner etait un peu plus sympa côté Victoria par contre. Au niveau du service, nous avons trouvé le personnel plus sympathique au niveau du Mauricia même si quelques personnes étaient également très accueillantes au Victoria. Par contre, vouloir à tout prix débarasser les assiettes quand parfois on a juste posé les couverts pour boire un verre ou discuter, c'est extrêmement pénible. Une femme a même voulu me prendre ma tasse de café au Victoria alors que je n'avais même pas commencer le petit déjeuner !

En résumé, nous reviendrons avec plaisir au Beachcomber Mauricia mais aucune chance pour nous de retourner au Victoria.

Super les jeunes serveurs sont trop lents la base nautique très bof (1 wakeboard pour tout l hôtel ce qui ve dire que un enfant prend le même qu un adulte) les activité sont très bien apart les activités nautique, le restaurant très bon le nettoyage de la chambre et très bien en soit super hôtel malgré les 2,3 petit soucis

UPDATE: I wish that I could say that it was just my bad luck for the first day there. But during my stay there I had the beach towel thrown to me; the beach bar that was supposed to close at 17:30 when you go to order at around 17:10 they tell you not to come anymore since it’s closed. Thank you Stephanie from l’horizon as you were so attentive to us in our last night. Food at the buffet is ok. Most of the things are frozen and cooked. They served burgers one time and they were frozen from the bag. For a 4 star that has an entire team of chefs I would expect that you can make some burgers from scratch but I think I had too high expectations. If I would get the chance now, I would book a different resort as this one was not worth the money at all.

First day here and I can say that this is not a 4star service. Most of the staff is lacking any customer service, the body language that they use and their tone of voice is very unprofessional. One staff just dismissed me by waving his hand to me to go away, 3 staff looked at me approaching with a dirty plate in my hand and not even one offered to take it from me, nobody is offering you any drinks when they see you standing at a table or sun bed by the pool or beach, 2 people at reception looked at me and just pointed me to the entrance when I asked to return the dirty beach towels and receive back the cards for them in order to get them the next day. For the amount of money that you pay here this level of service is disappointing. The only person that was helpful and professional was the gentleman that did our check in and Anju that assisted me with restaurant bookings even though my name was not appearing in the system. Also the amount of paper wasted on all the notes that they make you sign for everything that you order even though you have the all inclusive bracelet is unnecessary, especially since its advertised as a conscious hotel and environment responsible. Everything is in the details and here nobody is paying attention to them!

Never expected to have paid an arm and a leg to go on a much needed holiday to only come back completely traumatized.
I cannot even write my experience. As soon as I am in a better state, trust that I will write my experience on here which is backed up by hardcore evidence. Absolutely disgusted. Might be a beautiful place, however, they care more about their reputation than your wellbeing. Had to act like everything was fine the rest of my stay, couldn't wait to get out of there. Felt so unsafe and stayed in my room for a day, crying myself into oblivion. The treatment I recieved was the most traumatizing part, worse than the incident that took place. Absolutely appalled at how management treated me regarding a very serious situation. I have read many reviews that guests experienced very similar experiences and appalling treatment from management.

Only good part was the female staff were absolutely kind and incredible and really cared about what happened.

On another note, they charge things you didnt even do or get to your room or lie about the price. I was told a simple bikini wax was R180. They charged me over R1000 for it!!!

Très beau moment passé à l'hôtel Victoria. Nous avons été bien accueillis et pris en charge.
Les chambres situées face à l'océan offrent une vue magnifique. L'hôtel reste très propre et bien entretenu au fil des jours.
Le personnel est sympathique. Mention spéciale pour Arvin, qui s'est occupé de garder notre chambre propre et soignée tout au long du séjour, Marie Michèle notre représentante de Mautourco qui nous a proposés des excursions inoubliables, Bekail, le distributeur de serviettes qui a toujours le mot pour rire et enfin Ravi , qui prend vos commandes autour de la piscine toujours avec le sourire.
Je vous recommande cependant de prendre le all inclusive. Vous pourriez vite vous trouver limités et les alentours de l'hôtel ne proposent pas grand chose.
Les chambres sont un petit peu mal isolées mais restent impeccables. Si vous êtes friand de tennis, prenez vos balles avec, elles ne sont pas prêtées à l'hôtel.
Concernant le buffet, celui ci propose pour la majorité des plats locaux. Il peut paraître manquer de diversité.
Il y a également des restaurants à thème que je vous conseille de réserver dès votre arrivée. J'ai pu en tester 2: le restaurant de fruits de mer, très bon, et le restaurant dit italien, dont on ne retrouve malheureusement pas les plats incontournables italiens.
Pour conclure, très beau moment passé dans ce cadre magnifique.

We didn't get the experience we paid for. First of all, when we asked for tap water at the buffet they gave us someone else's half empty bottle! We were forced to pay 120 rupees or almost 3 dollars us just so that we don't dehydrate. They rest of the drinks were also ridiculously expensive. One day, they served very thin crepes for 150 rupees! Worst thing is they didn't tell us the pancakes were free, instead they asked for our room number and charged us. The staff was also rude and laughed at us when we asked for tap water. The rooms where nice until the vent from the bathroom fell out and left a chunk of the roof on the floor. When we asked for them to clean it there was still bits of wood on the floor. The pool's bathrooms also smelled like pee, like a public bathroom. The buffet was also lacking, the desserts tasted like nothing because of them cutting budged corners. Some of the food was good. The gym was nice, except for them only allowing teens over 16 to work out. The resort also felt like a mall, with people trying to constantly sell you stuff. The pool table was broken and the staff took long to take our dirty plates back and clear tables for us to sit at

Em uma das nossas visitas a praia, o segurança do hotel tentou nos expulsar porque sentamos ao lado da “área reservada aos hóspedes do hotel” sendo que, 1. as praias de Mauritus são PÚBLICAS, 2. não tinha nem gente ocupando as cadeiras de sol que estavam ao lado, 3. Tinha espaço ocioso suficiente para nós e até para mais pessoas se acomodarem (inclusive depois sentaram-se mais pessoas entre nós) 4. os hóspedes não estendem a toalha na areia (local onde estávamos), eles tem cadeira de praia pra isso ???????????? 5. O hotel já ocupa a maior parte da faixa de areia e ainda querem a os demais usuários se limitem a usufruir onde acham um espaço LIVRE de cadeiras de praias nos “espaços reservados para os hóspedes” .

Não é pq os são hóspedes que eles são melhores ou tem mais direitos que nós ????????

Best holiday ever. Loved every minute of every day. Food, room, beach, entertainment 10/10 Went in May, beautiful time of the year. Everything was great clean and just lovely. My only greatest wish is that the hotel did more for the stray dogs on the beach. They could contribute to the many dog shelters doing such hard work Perhaps put a box at the hotel reception like they do at the airport so that people leaving can deposit their remaining Mauritian rupees. Get involved in donating and helping the sad desperate hungry stray dogs. Contribute to the Mautitius sterilization programs. Helping the dogs would make it the very best hotel! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Une semaine au victoria ...comment dire que cela passe beaucoup trop vite tellement tout est superbe! Chambre avec vue au top, soigneusement décorée et propre, avec tout ce qu'il faut. Un service d'hôtel de qualité. Repas variés et de qualité avec un personnel sympathique. Bravo aux cuisinier(e)s qui régalent nos papilles tous les jours. Un personnel de tout horizon généreux souriant et agréables avec qui on aime discuter, échanger, et rire. Des petits détails qui changent tout de manière agréable pour passer un séjour inoubliable! J'espère que le personnel est recompensé a sa juste valeur parce qu'ils participent grandement au fait que tout soit impeccable. Au top!! Recommandation sans aucune hésitation.
PS: le seul petit bémol est que les touristes ne prennent pas soin de la plage et parfois c'est un peu sale malheureusement. Manque de poubelles. Et certains transat sont cassé et pas assez de matelas. Cela peut s'améliorer sans souci.
