Open since 1984, and run by the colorful Deva and his charming family, it is, as the guestbook testifies, a local institution frequented even by ministers! The setting is as simple and rustic as a large fisherman's hut, and the success is based on the kindness of the owners combined with the quality of the produce and tasty dishes prepared just like at home! The restaurant is best known for its fish and seafood specialties, depending on availability. No wine, but beer and house-arranged rum.

Excellent repas.

Total disappointment!!! After seeing 4.7 rating and the pictures from the menu, I decided to take my family to Kanaco. The restaurant is part of an old home. No views, doesn’t look very clean and boiling hot even at 8 pm. The crab soup is actually a very watery and too sweet tomato soup with 3 skinny crab legs and one claw. Cheese croquettes are fried dough with a hint of cheese served with a sweet sauce. The octopus salad was the only decent food but still on the average side. The seafood platter for two was decent size with prawns, mussels, fish and lobster (about the size of a jumbo prawn) but all were overcooked and rubbery. I suspect the seafood was frozen instead of fresh. My son ordered chicken curry as the main. He says it was average. I decided to skip the deserts after my disappointment. Total bill was 5,130 mrp. Equivalent of 170 Aud. I would rate this restaurant 2/5 instead of 4.7/5.
