Romantic hotel exclusively dedicated to the Paul and Virginia of the world, which has 81 rooms with sea view in Grand Gaube
Thatched and dressed with natural materials, this romantic hotel is exclusively dedicated to the Paul and Virginia of the world. Delicate attentions are lavished on lovers: dinner on the beach, tandem bike ride, private pirogue cruise... The 81 rooms with sea views are cozy and intimate, as are the 2 bars and 2 restaurants, including the adorable Le Saint Géran, located on the water at the end of the pier. Cocooning spa and 2 swimming pools, one of which has an overflowing pool that opens onto a sublime panorama. So far from everything, so close to each other..

Nous avons eu l’occasion de visiter cet hôtel pour une durée de 10 nuits au mois de septembre.
Nous avons séjourné dans une chambre avec terrasse en accès direct à l’une des 2 piscines et à 1 minute de la plage. La chambre était grande et amplement suffisante pour un séjour de 10 nuits, toutefois quelques soucis de propreté ont pu être notés (tâches sur le miroir, poussière sous un meuble de salle de bain…)
L’hôtel propose de nombreuses activités et évènements chaque jours, nous avons beaucoup apprécié la boutique de souvenirs située dans l’hôtel même. Coup de cœur pour les crêpes proposées chaque après midi, très bonnes et la dame est très accueillante et chaleureuse, tout comme l’ensemble du personnel.
Le dîner en buffet était bon et les choix variés, a noter que l’eau plate est facturée …
La grande piscine à débordement est magnifique, la plage également qui est toutefois assez petite.
Note globale de 4 étoiles car le plus gros point faible est l’emplacement, les principales activités à faire à l’île Maurice se situent relativement loin de l’hôtel (1h en voiture du sud de l’île)
Également à noter que nous avions réserver une activité de sortie en bateau à fond de verre, qui nous a été annulée sans raison via un coup de fil en chambre 15 min avant le départ sans explications données… dommage

Nous sommes restés 10 nuits, la chambre était bien entretenu.
La nourriture sur place était variée et les spécialités mauriciennes sont délicieuses. Mention spéciale à Asha avec son stand à crêpe et gâteaux mauricien qui étaient excellents !
Les animations sur place sont également appréciables.
Le seul point négatif est que l’hôtel est situé au nord de l’île donc un peu loin des activités faisables ( comptez 1h de route au minimum pour aller au sud-est / sud-ouest )
Mille mercis pour ces belles appréciations qui nous vont droit au coeur!
Quel bonheur que de vous savoir conquis par le Veranda Paul & Virginie, ses prestations et ses équipes.
