Overlooking the coastal road, facing Mahébourg Bay, this is a few tables and barrels revisited under stretched canvas, and a pocket kitchen in a food truck. Don't be fooled by the place's rootsy style (which has its charm), but the number of people who come here says a lot about the tasty home cooking simmering there in traditional carailles - which sometimes means a bit of a wait. Fried mint, grilled lamb or fish, fast-food burgers, calamari in coconut milk... and on Mondays it's Lobster Night - reservations recommended.

Nourriture très bon mais déçu du service

Des amis nous avaient avertis que ce serait un peu long mais ce fut carrément TRÈS long pour des plats certes corrects mais vraiment pas exceptionnels non plus… Serveuses et cuisiniers pas agréables du tout, se croyant tout permis au nom de leur réputation locale… Ambiance sympa mais pas de quoi se monter le bourrichon non plus… bref, mauvaise expérience pour nous mais peut-être était-ce parce que nous n’étions pas mauriciens et que nous étions 8…? Je recommande plutôt le Coin Casse Croûte à quelques rues de là dans Mahebourg, c’est tout l’inverse ????
