Overlooking the coastal road, facing Mahébourg Bay, this is a few tables and barrels revisited under stretched canvas, and a pocket kitchen in a food truck. Don't be fooled by the place's rootsy style (which has its charm), but the number of people who come here says a lot about the tasty home cooking simmering there in traditional carailles - which sometimes means a bit of a wait. Fried mint, grilled lamb or fish, fast-food burgers, calamari in coconut milk... and on Mondays it's Lobster Night - reservations recommended.

We arived at 12 20 and was told they will open at 12 30. We were two person who was there first so we choose a table with a beautiful sea view. Then the owner came and asked us to shift since the table is for 4 and we are only two not to spoile the mood we did not argue. The table for two was not comfortable since it was an upside down metal barrel with no leg space you have to sit with you feet under your chair or your self far from the table imagine how to bend and eat every time. Later the lady came to take order not so good in her job he asked the owner itself to come. There is no menu card you need to take a picture on the board and order from it. We asked for seafood mix grill. They recommended under category crispy seafood to share @700rs. And additionally a seafood tacos @350rs. We mentioned to have only fresh seafood and the owner confirmed everything is fresh except mussels. Our seafood platter took around 15 to 20 mins fully loaded ???? a heaven to the eyes and mouth. With 3 whole fish 1 cordonier 2 small rouget which was not deep fried but grilled.
5 mussels 5 shrimps with head and 2 pineapple cut calmari , 2 octopus legs and 1 whole calamari medium size over a bed of crinkle cut chips and letuce.
Our first turn off was it was served cold
Then we realised the fish was not cleaned properly still had some green stuff inside fish stomach.
Also most importantly only the fish was fresh others were not it had no sea freshness taste. Overcooked boiled with no taste of what we are eating. The tacos has chips and avocado inside and lots of veggies. We were served coke with no glasses. To our surprise the bill was done on a calculator 1700 +350 + 3 coke @2250rs. We realised they misguided us with the price showing 700 and charged us 1700 still we did not argue or questioned as they was not welcoming people be it the staff or the owner itself. Not a single smile from them. They way we were asked to move from the table of 4 was very rude and embarrassing since we were 2 we tried to be understanding but later on we saw one lady who came alone grab the seat of 4. They took her order and served her she was eating comfortably. But our table was not comfortable to sit i took picture of the lady eating on a table of 4. And the table model with 4 legs while the table for 2 was a big drum barrel or whatever very inconvenient to sit. Thankyou for this experience for which we drove hours.
