Tea museum exhibiting old machines related to tea production, tea sets from the 19th century, photos, paintings...
This tea factory, the largest in the country, has been in operation since 1892 and has been partially converted into a cultural center. Under the guidance of an employee, amid the metallic clanking and whistling of the machines, you'll discover the different stages of production: from cutting to packaging, including withering, fermentation, drying and sifting. Come in the morning when the factory is busy. A Tea Museum completes the visit, highlighting the special historical features of this crop. On display are antique machines linked to tea production, 19th-century tea sets, photos, paintings and documents introducing visitors to several hundred different infusions. A tasting session is held in a large chalet perched on a hillside, offering a superb panoramic view of the tea plantations and Swan Lake. To extend the experience, lunch is available on site, with local tea-based cuisine prepared and served in the Domaine's restaurant. The adjoining boutique also offers a wide range of products - teas, infusions, rums... To immerse yourself further, the Zistwar Dité activity (to be booked in advance) is a unique experience on the plantations, where you'll be introduced to traditional picking techniques, then to the manufacturing and production processes, ending with a delicious lunch.
