ROBERT EDWARD HART MUSEUM
Museum installed in the house of the famous Mauritian poet, exhibiting rare furniture, writings, poems, photos and shells
This modest museum is housed in the home of the famous Mauritian poet (1891-1954) who spent the last thirteen years of his life there. Appreciated by the French intellectuals of his time, Robert Edward Hart had a lifelong passion for the unknown, the spirit world, mysticism, Hindu philosophy, etc. With its coral walls and its view of the sea, the Nave, as it is called, is as interesting as the rare furniture, writings, poems, photos and shells it exhibits. As you walk and read, you will be able to pick up some nice rhymes...
