Museum in Floréal, a good place to learn about the history of diamond cutting in Mauritius and in the world.
At the entrance to the Adamas jewelry store, this small museum tells the story of diamond cutting in Mauritius and around the world. On display are several pieces of equipment used in the past and replicas of famous diamonds such as the Cullinan I and II, the legendary Hope and the Taylor-Burton. Panels explain how the queen of gems is shaped, and you can watch polishers at work. The site is also a showcase and introduction to the Adamas brand, historically (re)known in the diamond world.
