Twin brother of the famous Happy Rajah in Grand Bay, the best Indian restaurant in the north of the island, the Phoenix restaurant has all the same advantages: a convenient location at the entrance of a shopping centre, a diligent service by a welcoming team, great Indian chefs at the stove, and a quality of restoration combined with very tight prices... The varied menu offers a selection of about sixty dishes, including traditional Indian dishes from the 17th century. The setting is subdued and warm, with ochre plasterwork and Rajasthani antiques.

seafood platter is disappointing for 575rs , small piece of fish , calamari , the "big" shrimp is 60% shell , was expecting more for this price . whats more sad we waited 45 mins for it. :)
main dish , butter chicken was as average , portion is more gravy than chicken , Naan was more of a roti , thin .

We wish to inform you about the quality of food at your restaurant at Phoenix.
We are regular customers over the years.
In the past few months we have seen a drop in quality of food and wanted to share our experience with you.
On several occasions there was an issue and we believe that you should have a look into this.
Yesterday we had vegetable biryani however this was terrible, it tasted like a curry rice and the quality of rice was not what is expected, beside this it was totally overcooked.
The lamb Rogan gosh tasted great but the meat was not good at all, a strong mutton taste was covered by the spices used and it was rather fatty and full of tendons.
The chicken and daal was very good, the raita needs to be improved.
