Air Mauritius is the only airline to operate between Mauritius and Rodrigues, 2 to 5 times a day depending on the season. Luggage weight is limited to 15 kg, but the airline generally allows a few kilos for each passenger. It's important to book well in advance, as the ATR72 has only 66 seats - beware of busy months such as December, January, February, April, July and August. Some hotels have seat quotas, so don't hesitate to book through them for a flight + stay package.

DO NOT BOOK AIR MAURITIUS! Flying Perth-Mauritius-Johannesburg, received text and email on landing in Mauritius notifying me that connecting flight was delay from 9:30am to 4pm. Next day, I check in online as normal - even paid for seat selection - and received electronic boarding pass. Arrived at airport, queued to drop checked luggage and discovered my flight was cancelled. Air Mauritius help desk directed me to check in at SAA, saying we were all moved to that flight. At SAA check in, I was told flight was full. Back to Air Mauritius help desk where staff had NO INFO: no idea how long I'd be stranded in Mauritius, no accommodation vouchers, no alternate flights other than SAA. I had urgent business in SA following day so ended up purchasing a one-way airticket on Fly Safair to get there ($380)... but wait there is MORE. Unbelievable as it is, when I tried to check in to Air Mauritius for my flight home to Perth, I was forced to pay another $75 to have my ticket reissued because I HADN'T FLOWN ON THE FLIGHT THEY CANCELLED! They cancelled the flight, left me stranded in Mauritius, and then charged me a ticket reissue fee because I didn't catch a cancelled flight and so 'broke me route sequence." Unless you enjoy (1) buying extra air tickets when Air Mauritius strands you en route to your destination, (2) paying nonsense extra admin fees to catch flights you've booked and paid for, and (3) having an uphill battle to get refunded, Air Mauritius is not the airline for you.

I was there a Saturday around 11.45.. I don't know if it was the rush to enable maximum customers before closure time at noon or the the cashier was unpleasant by nature. No smile at all.. Hope it was just that day, because i don't expect other people to go through her especially those who need additional advice or first time passengers.

The staff at the ticketing should follow training in customer service. Le sens de l'accueil n'est pas tres developpé.

Service de qualité
Tant pour le vol, Paris-Maurice, que pour celui de Maurice à Rodrigues, le service est de qualité, et le personnel est très aimable, créant une ambiance conviviale à bord.
