The late Mauritius Pride, which used to run between Port Louis and Port Mathurin, and whose weekly arrival was awaited like the messiah's, but which ceased operations in 2014, has been replaced by Peros Banhos! The introduction of this freighter allows the Mauritius Trochetia to become a cruise ship in its own right, cruising the islands of the Indian Ocean including Reunion, Mauritius and Rodrigues. With a capacity of 108 passengers, it features some 50 cabins divided into 4 categories, a reading lounge, restaurants and a cinema.
