This recently opened restaurant stands at the northern entrance to Port Mathurin, a little way from the hustle and bustle of Rue François Leguat. Refreshed by a gentle breeze, it consists of a large shaded terrace on stilts overlooking the famous river where the first inhabitants stopped. The daily specials on the slate depend on the catch and the arrival of the producers. Fish, seafood, chicken and duck are cooked Rodriguese-style, according to time-honored recipes: a winning equation, given that the restaurant is always packed!

Très bon restaurant, avec un bon service. Par contre si vous souhaitez impérativement finir par un dessert, ce n’est pas le lieu. Ils n’en avaient pas (depuis le matin) et on y était le soir.

The Corn Fish, Lobster, Fried Chicken, Thai Chicken, Calamar, and Garlic Butter Crab at Le Pêcheur du Nord restaurant in Rodrigues are exceptional. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, complemented by refreshing watermelon juice. Highly recommended!
