WORKING-CLASS NEIGHBORHOOD
English style neighborhood on the Cerro de San Cristobal in Huelva.
On the Cerro de San Cristobal, it is known as the barrio de la Reina Victoria and was created in 1916 to house the British workers in the Riotinto mines. A stroll through the area is enough to find the English style: small houses and gardens, well ordered, with a somewhat similar look . Today, it still houses 274 dwellings spread over about 8 hectares, accommodating about 500 people. To avoid any quarrel about the names of the streets, they are named by letters, from A to H, from west to east.
