PLAZA DE LAS MONJAS
Square with a fountain and various monuments, the heart of the historic part of Huelva.
Rectangular in shape, this square is the heart of the historic part of town, remodeled in 1907. It is also a meeting point for the Onubenses. Here you'll find a small fountain with a monument to Christopher Columbus beside it, pointing in the direction of the ocean, a large bandstand and several smaller bandstands for information or refreshment, as well as the handsome Hotel de Paris building, also known as Casa de la Bola, dating from the early 19th century. Not far away, you'll find the Mudejar convent of the Augustines (16th century).
