It's a must for anyone passing through Ayamonte: cross the river into Portugal, to Vila Real de Santo Antonio to be exact. Once you've arrived and set your watch to the right time (one hour off), the town offers a lovely stroll with plenty of bars and terraces to enjoy the local atmosphere. Founded in 1991, this ferry company accepts pedestrians, bicycles, cars (subject to space availability) and bicycles. The fifteen-minute journey allows you to admire the shores of the 2 countries, perfect for selfies.
