In short it's a vibe. Great staff, wonderful owner, amazing experience. From the moment you arrive everyone makes you feel special. Bask in the communal traveling experience by joining the nightly sunset hang and wake up to the group pancake breakfast. Thanks Nick for an amazing experience. Next time we surf!

Very interesting, cozy and friendly place, Would love to stay longer!

Great hostel! The locations is 5 stars, close to everything. Common areas were spacious and the breakfast in the morning was nice! The employees were all super nice and the rooftop was great to have to chill out. The only small downside would be the room was a little stuffy but I brought a little handheld fan and it was fine. Would recommend this hostel for anyone!

Ich bin zum zweiten mal in dieses Hostel gereist, da ich hier letztes Jahr einen wundervollen Aufenthalt hatte. Leider war es diesmal anders. Einer der Gründe, weshalb ich hergekommen war, war das gemeinsame Abendessen, was ich sehr genossen hatte. Direkt bei meiner Ankunft musste ich dann feststellen, dass dies aufgrund des Karnevals aktuell nicht stattfindet - eine herbe Enttäuschung für mich, da ich durch viele Ortswechsel aktuell auch keine eigenen Zutaten für ein warmes Gericht mit mir führe. Die Aussage lautete es würde sich nicht lohnen, da die Gäste alle auf eigene Faust beim Karneval seien und nicht mitmachen würden... Find ich merkwürdig, letztes Jahr gab es auch eine Liste, in die man sich eingetragen hat, so dass immer klar war, wieviele abends mit essen, ich denke da hat man sich das Leben ein bisschen einfach gemacht... Generell waren die Volunteers ein recht exklusives Grüppchen (teilweise auch unhöflich: einer Freundin wurde harrsch das Pfeifen am Tage untersagt...), ich habe mich dadurch leider nicht annähernd so wohl gefühlt wie letztes Jahr und weiß von vielen anderen Hosteln, dass das deutlich willkommender gestaltet werden kann.
In einem Zimmer mit 6 Leuten zu schlafen, ohne ein Fenster öffnen zu können oder sonstige Lüftungseinrichtung war für mich die ekelhafteste Erfahrung seit ich in Hostels übernachte. Auch wurde leider gegen 5 Uhr morgens über uns herumgepoltert, dass es unmöglich war weiterzuschlafen (Raum 6). Letztes Jahr war ich im Raum 4, da war alles fein mit Fenstern und ohne Krach von oben.
Die zwei Sterne gibt es, weil es wirklich architektonisch das schönste Hostel ist, was ich kenne, Sauberkeit herrscht, das Frühstück inklusive ist, die Lage sehr attraktiv ist, es einen kleinen Safe zum abschließen gibt und letztes Jahr hier wirklich toll war, ansonsten wurde ich diesmal leider vor allem durch das ungesunde Raumklima sehr enttäuscht und bin nun froh weiterzuziehen.

Nick, the owner, has run this hostel for 21 years now and it shows. You can feel the love and care he has put into it. The hostel had a great energy, especially if you’re introverted like me and want to find time away from the noise.

The breakfast is included — bottomless pancakes, plain cereal, granola, with jam/honey/chocolate spread, some fruit, and coffee/tea. I looked forward to it every morning.

The beds were comfortable and showers VERY clean. Again, the design felt so nice and it was refreshing to find a hostel that wasn’t a soulless hostel chain.

The dinners (extra cost) were delicious and very VERY generous servings — would recommend you take advantage.

Very spacious drawers under the bed to store your belongings with a smaller “locker” attached on the wall next to your bed for things like phones/chargers etc. Very convenient and well thought out.

This was a perfect hostel for me to relax and recharge and would not consider any thing else when I return to Cadiz. Thank you Casa Caracol for an amazing stay.

Pro tip: Book outside of Hostelworld for a better deal ????

What a beautiful and unique place to stay whilst exploring magical Cádiz. This place gave us such a warm welcome and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Great vibes and perfect location. Loved it! ❤️

Za tą cenę świetne miejsce o niesamowitym swojskim klimacie. Obsługa przemiła i pomocna a pokoje czyste i pachnące, plus taras na dachu z widokiem na wieżę katedralną. Polecam.

I had an amazing expierence at Casa Caracol, the people working in the hostel were super friendly. The common area with the kitchen is lovely, as well as the rooftop! What really made my expierence were the other guests. I stayed at Casa Caracol for a month, and it quickly started to feel like a little family. I really hope to come back one day.

perfect hostel! Super clean, cozy and friendly staff. The hostel has a nice atmosphere, one can notice that the place is taken care of. One of the bet hostels I have been to so far!

Just stayed with my pareja in Casa Caracol in the double bed loft room and we had the most amazing time! We were only there for two nights but we were amazed by the friendliness and good vibes of the place, next time we will try and stay longer! If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Cadiz definitely go for Caracol!

Amazing hostel! Very sweet staff, the place was build with lots of love you can feel it, it is beautiful. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast, I’ll recommend it to everyone going to Cadiz. Don’t think twice, Casa Caracol is where you’re staying! A big thanks to the staff and Nick, I’ll be back!

Casa Caracol you have my heart! This Place is amazing with all its people and lovely details. You can see how much love and passion everyone is giving to make this place like home for everyone. Every morning there’s free breakfast with delicious pancakes, cereals and coffee. It’s great to start the day and have a chat with other backpackers. What I really liked is that the people from the hostel always try to organize something (activities etc.) where you can join if you want. Something that is happening almost every day is people singing or playing music! This place is just unique and have a lovely atmosphere.

Apaixonado pelo hostel!

Tuvimos una mala experiencia con el personal de este alojamiento, habíamos hecho una reserva por teléfono y previamente una vez en Cádiz, decidimos ir a comer y hacer turismo antes de pasar por el hostel, así que AVISAMOS que llegaríamos más tarde!
Sorpresa!!! Llegamos y habían anulado nuestra reserva, sin aviso previo, dicen q no tenían nuestro teléfono, cosa que no pidieron y q con nuestro nombre era suficiente, eran las 20h de la tarde y estamos en la calle con las maletas y después de haber andado bastante para llegar. Creo que las cosas se podían haber hecho mejor ,al menos de preocuparse de al menos buscarnos una alternativa.
No hay mal q por bien no venga, y enseguida pudimos llamar a otro lugar y el sitio fue fabuloso!!!

Así que de todas formas, estamos agradecidos de que esto pasara.

Nestled in a narrow street including Cadiz offers much, an inn by the warm it holds, plunges visitors in a relaxed atmosphere. Colourful, warm with its benches and its hammocks on the roof, it is also engaged in ecological approach (recycling, recycled materials furniture, electricity just hours necessary in the rooms). Only breakfast is not the height: with a bit of luck, a coffee burn in a pan, and muesli will trail in an old pot. Never mind, you will find goods small - déjs Andalusian and coffee con licks with all the terraces, and very affordable prices. In short, a haunt with hippie apparitions absolutely charming which, like the city, offers a unique setting to laze and enjoy the sweet life.
