CASA BALBINO
Stuffed bulls' heads, hanging hams, old photos of the Sanlúcar area, under which a swarm of waiters are bustling about, setting the pace behind the bar counter - that's the description of the place, which even has its own Cruz Campo beer brewery, in situ, if you please! There's a whole host of tapas to choose from, where you can dip your fingers in and out of the shellfish or grab small wooden picks and pull out the contents. Don't miss the tortillitas de camarones, fine omelettes with baby shrimps, which even King Juan Carlos tasted on a catering trip to Sanlúcar in February 2008. Whether indoors or on the terrace of this central plaza, a diverse clientele, dressed in suits or more casual, comes to test the freshness of the ocean and homemade dishes, all washed down with white wine or manzanilla. Not to be missed.
