Impressive tunnels dug in the Rock of Gibraltar.
They were dug into the Rock by the artificers of His Majesty's army to defend the site during the sieges of the late 17th century.
An impressive network of over 50 km, it was completed during the Second World War to serve as a weapons storage facility and HQ prior to the invasion of North Africa by Allied troops commanded by General Eisenhower.
