A cathedral, built on a former mosque, represents the Renaissance temples in Spanish lands
The Malagueños gently call it La Manquita (the manchotte), because the construction of the second tower was cancelled because of a budget. Built on a former mosque (which remains the Patio of Los Najanros, the patio of orange trees), from 1528, it sees its work interrupted in 1782. The building is very representative of Renaissance temples in Spanish lands.
