CASTILLO DE GIBRALFARO
The steep paths that border the Lighthouse Mountain offer a breathtaking view of Málaga and its bay
Climbing up through the Puerta Oscura gardens, the steep paths lining the Lighthouse mountain offer magnificent views of Málaga and its bay, right up to the interior of the bullring (also accessible by bus no. 35). The origins of the castle are debated: the building may in part date back to Punic times, with the Phoenicians already using the mountain as a watchtower. Altered in the 14th century under the reign of Yusuf I, the building was joined to the Alcazaba by fortifications.

Il faut prévoir de bonnes chaussures de marche et être en forme pour gravir la montée.
C'est dommage qu'il n'y ait pas d'accès direct entre l'Alcazaba et le Gibralfaro.
