Inaugurated on March 28, 2015, the new Center Pompidou de Málaga took place in a space created by Daniel Buren, the Cubo. With the exception of the muelle 1, this half-buried rectangle is overcome with a multicolored cube of 6,000 m ² for an exhibition space of 2,000 m ². It also proposes two or three temporary exhibitions per year. Initially scheduled for 5 years, until 2020, the center is expected to remain open until 2025, according to a first agreement reached in early 2018, which is expected to be finalized in March 2019. Since December 2017, the museum fund has been renewed with the arrival of 63 works presented as «Utopias Modernas» until 2020. With a great success for the presence of this Pompidou de Málaga since the number of visitors is expected to rise to 500 000 at the end of 2018.
