These famous bullring dating from 1785 are the oldest in Spain
These famous arenas are the oldest in Spain (1785). It was here that most of the rules of bullfighting on foot were established by Pedro Romero and his ancestors, revolutionizing bullfighting, which was originally performed on horseback. The area was also the setting for Francesco Rosi's film adaptation of Carmen. In September, they host the famous corridas goyesca, during which toreros, banderilleros and picadores dress in the garb of 18th-century Madrid.

Without returning to the debate " for or contre" bullfighting, these arenas are worth to be views so much by their architecture, their big size and historical importance in the eyes of the Andalusians and Spanish, in general.
