CASA DE LOS NAVAJA
A small palace, built in the nineteenth century in a neo-Mudejar style, located on a cliff facing the beach of El Bajoncillo
Located on a cliff facing El Bajoncillo beach, this small palace was built in the 19th century in the neo-Mudejar style, an architectural style that flourished in late 19th-century Spain. Renovated and reopened in 2014, it has now become an emblematic feature of Torremolinos. The building has two floors, the first floor being the living quarters with bedrooms, study, dining room, kitchen, and above all an interior decoration imitating that of the Alhambra in Granada. The second floor serves as a lookout point towards the coast. The exterior features two side towers and a main portico. Built at the request of Antonio Navajas, a wealthy sugarcane grower, the casa was home to three generations of the Navajas family before becoming a municipal heritage site in 2000.
