OLIVA RESTAURANTE
Conveniently located in the heart of Nerja, this establishment opened in 2010 and offers a modern, somewhat minimalist setting, as well as a small terrace at the rear of the restaurant. The couple at the helm are Kim, Dutch and attentive in the dining room, and he, Spanish and meticulous in the kitchen. The cuisine is mainly Mediterranean, with a few exotic touches such as sole millefeuille with ginger mayonnaise or cod served with trumpets of death. A particularity is their treatment of the malaguera salad, classically cooked with smoked cod and prepared here with smoked eel. You can also try the cheese coulant, torta de casar, one of Spain's finest cheeses, served with thyme sorbet and grape gelatin. All in all, a fine palette of flavors.
