THE BEACHES
A beach of about 700 meters long and provided with all the amenities of merenderos perfect for refreshment breaks
It is the beach of Burriana which is the best known in Nerja. Surrounded by residential areas, it is about 700 metres long and has all the comforts of merenderos perfect for cooling or lunch breaks. Small, except if you are driving by car and there is a place for parking nearby, you will have to climb a small coastline to achieve it, as for all the beaches of Nerja. At the top of its cliff, the parador de Nerja overlooks this beach. Other sand beaches: Calahonda, located under the balcón of Europa, El Payazo, El Chucho, El Chorilo, La Torecilla, El Carabeo, El Salón, Beach or La Caletilla. But it is also another beach or rather cove that can take a detour, El Cañuelo. 13 kilometres east of Nerja, it is located in the heart of the Acantilados natural site of Maro-Cerro Gordo, and is considered one of the quietest beaches of the coast of Malaga. It is also the place to dive in order to discover in particular an orange coral, catalogued as a threat of extinction. It is not easy to access it, and that is why it is calm, and it is well marked. By car, take the N -340 towards Almuñecar, then take exit 402 on the right. Once there, you will have to leave the car at the top of the cliff and take the specific bus, planned to climb and descend at the beach. But you can also walk on foot.
