A natural site with caves that host a great underwater diversity
This impressive promontory starts from Torre Maro, in Nerja, to the bay of "Cazaida" in Almuñecar, in the province of Granada, its neighbour. It is a narrow strip of 12 km of coastline where steep cliffs alternate, terraces at an altitude of 100 metres, small beaches and tiny bays, some of them almost untouched. The caves are home to a great diversity of underwater life. It is a protected area recommended for hiking enthusiasts in a very beautiful setting.
