RESTAURANTE RUTA DEL MULHACÉN
After having operated as a restaurant since 1974, the address has also been transformed into a kind of centre for discovering the gastronomy of the Alpujarra since 2009. The old small hostal keeps its panoramic view and always allows a good stop for the meal with a good choice of typical dishes. You can enjoy the puchero de hinojos con pringá, a traditional stew of vegetables, cereals, fennel and seasonal herbs with its batch of bacon, meat and blood sausage; the gachas pimentonas, vegetable soup with sausage and grilled flour paste; choto guisado, grilled kid like Pampaneira, with almond sauce; or the pollo like grandma, with potato sauce and spices. To be enjoyed à la carte or as a full alpujarreño menu. For dessert, you will probably reserve a place for leche frita, a traditional milk and cinnamon pudding. Small stomachs abstain.
