This former casa de cabildos was the seat of the Loja consistory from 1490 until 1927, when the town hall was transferred to the Narvaéz palace. In Renaissance style, it dates from the early 16th century and retains its original style despite subsequent restorations. Today, it is the headquarters of the municipal library and also houses the Loja History Interpretation Centre and serves as a tourist information point.
