PARADOR CASTILLO DE SANTA CATALINA * * * *
Hotel located in the heart of a prestigious historical site offering comfortable rooms
This parador is not lacking in the tradition of the network's establishments located in the heart of a prestigious historic site. In this case, it's a majestic former Moorish fortress overlooking Jaén that lends its walls to the enterprise. Forty-five comfortable rooms and a fine restaurant in a medieval dining room. All radiating austere elegance. The standard double rooms overlook the parking lot, while the superior doubles boast the best views of the mountainous surroundings. Don't hesitate to come and have a drink and enjoy the location and the magnificent views over the city. For the record, General Charles de Gaulle stayed in several Paradores during the last year of his life, and wrote part of his memoirs in room 231 of the Parador Castillo de Santa Catalina. A timeless book, published in 2011 by the Paradores, recalls his links. As well as the large photograph of the General at the entrance to the Parador.
